I have always loved coming here. Havent been in ages so decided to call in around 5pm today (02.05.2018). Met with two hurried staff who were really unfriendly & unhelpful. Samantha & Martyna very much gave us the impression that we came at a bad time.
Menu had a wide variety of food & healthy opitions such as salads amd soups. I ordered two kids box lunches (no prep in this you pick it yourself as it already made) & when asked what they had left, the reply ("not much") angered me. Not much alternatives were given so i started asking. Finally lasange was availble the 2nd time i asked. My friend was down using the cash machine as card machine was out of order. She was up by time i was apying for my meal & when she approached the staff she was told "there isnt much left plus theres a 20mins wait". 20mins to make 1 lasagne, there was no orders infrot of mines. Eventually she said " i can make you chips & sauasges but no beans as ive said its 20min wait".
I found it very difficult to hold my tounge but as i had my kids with me i didnt want to.
I have worked in cafes and resturants & i totally get it that they were pissed we called & there was kids etc but there was no need or excuse to speak to us the way they did. Another lady actually left as they kept telling her they didnt have what she was asking for.
My dinner arrived & the plate was slammed down to me & i said "thank you" quite loudly & no response.
They gave me the inpression that they didnt want to be there, they couldnt be bothered but wanted to get paid for it.
I fully understand that everyone has off days, we are onky human but i couldnt help think if that was my elderly parents being trested in that manner how i would feel, i certinely wouldnt be back if that were the case.
As i have stated i have been to asda plenty of times before & other staff have been so nice & helpful.
I recommend that these two girls get adequate training on their interpersonal skills and how to professionally deal with members of the public.
A smile costs nothing, a thank-you is free & manners go along way.

"A person may never rememeber what you said but they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel".
